Catfish and the Bottlemen

Catfish and the Bottlemen

Catfish and the Bottlemen are a British rock band formed in Llandudno, Wales in 2007. The original lineup featured Van McCann as vocalist, Johnny Bond as lead guitarist, Benji Blakeway on bass, and Bob Hall as drummer. Their first success came with the 2014 album ‘The Balcony’, from which their singles became instant hits in UK charts. Shine, Hourglass and Fallout were included in the top 10 UK single charts late 2014 and 2015. They went on to gain more recognition over the next two years, winning BBC Introducing Artist of the Year Award in 2016 at BBC Music Awards and MTV Brand New for 2016 nomination. Catfishalso toured extensively across Europe through that period to promote their studio albums ‘The Ride’ (2016) and ‘The Balance’ (2019). Their signature sound combined indie-rock guitar riffs with anthemic choruses has won them critical acclaim over the years. Everyone from One Direction’s Harry Styles to Oasis’s Noel Gallagher embraced them with open arms while they became hugely popular throughout Europe; making them a global sensation that continues to make stadium-sized rock-pop music even today!
