Bloc Party

Bloc Party is one of the most famous British alternative rock bands of all time. Formed in 1999, the band gained international recognition after their platinum-certified debut album Silent Alarm was released in 2005. The album spawned several major hit singles, including “Banquet” and “Helicopter”, which were highly praised for their catchy melodies and innovative compositions. Apart from great commercial success, Bloc Party has also won numerous awards, such as MTV Europe Music Award for Best UK & Ireland Act and the 2007 NME Award for Worst Band. While they are still an active group, they have gone through several line-up changes over time and released five studio albums to date. As one of the pillars of modern britpop, Bloc Party has undoubtedly left an everlasting impact on alternative music over two decades.
