Best Coast is a Los Angeles-based duo comprised of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno. Since they released their debut track, “Sun Was High (So Was I)” in 2009, they have gained worldwide attention for their dreamy, laid-back sound. Their unique take on West Coast surf rock combined with elements of indie-pop has earned them critical acclaim, appearing in the Village Voice’s Pazz & Jop Album Poll top 10 list from its debut studio album, Crazy For You. It has also helped them land placements in various TV shows and movies; including soundtrack features in “Gossip Girl” and “Easy A”. Most recently, they were nominated for Best International Group at the NME Awards after dropping their third album California Nights. Some of Best Coast’s greatest hits include “Fade Away” and “The Only Place,” which was even declared by President Barack Obama as one of his favorite songs of 2013.
