The Chicks
The Chicks, formerly known as Dixie Chicks, are an iconic country music trio made up of band members Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines and Emily Strayer. With single releases such as “Wide Open Spaces,” “Cowboy Take Me Away” and “Travelin’ Soldier.,” the group achieved vast success throughout the 2000s. The Chicks have won thirteen Grammy Awards, including 2010’s Album of the Year for their wide-reaching sixth studio album ‘Taking the Long Way’. In addition to various other accolades, they also hold an impressive nine Academy of Country Music Awards and eleven Country Music Association Awards. The ladies continue to make waves in the country music industry with their style, message and crossover appeal.
